Energy Healing Techniques Explained

Reiki is the most recognized form of energy healing as science is showing that it actually works.  Even our government is acknowledging that Reiki helps improve outcomes for Vets dealing with PTSD or physical injuries as they heal.

Many people feel that "Reiki" is a religion or is against God.  This couldn't be further from the truth!  Since science is proving that everything is energy and is simply vibrating at different speeds or frequencies, we need to get down to the very basics.

Energy cannot be destroyed, it simply changes form (or appears to). 

You know when someone is going through something tough and you place a hand on their shoulder to show support and tell them it's going to be okay?  Guess what!  That is a form of REIKI!

Faith healing, laying on of hands, Healing Touch, Hands of Light and so many other "techniques" are all exactly the same thing!  They are "applied" or delivered in slightly different ways or with different "twists" but here's the bottom line:  They all direct positive, supportive energy that is used to heal, support or adapt as needed for that person's benefit/good, or for the greater good of the community.  

Jesus said "Go forth and do as I have done" and he healed with a touch, with directed energies.  We ALL are capable as we are ALL energetic beings connected to the same "source" as he was...

God/Divine Energy/Universal Energy.

Many Reiki practitioners find it difficult to explain exactly what they do, but it is simply holding the intention that the energy they channel to you is healing, helpful and supportive.  Some even describe what they do as praying for you.  

There is nothing mysterious or religious about any energy healing technique.  It is simply a matter of channeling energy with the intent of supporting and healing you in your time of need, just like you support family and friends through tough times by being there.

What is CranioSacral Therapy (CST)?
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle touch therapy combined with energy healing to promote the body's natural healing abilities.  It is done fully clothed in a quiet setting.
It focuses on very light touch at the head (cranium) and the lower back (sacrum).  It's main focus is to balance the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid (running from the head to the sacrum along the spinal nerve).  Non-invasive, this treatment calms the nervous system and helps to reduce or remove pain, headaches and anxiety.
Basically, your therapist will first set the intention that the treatment will provide the relief you want/need.  They will then place hands on the skull, neck or sacrum.  A therapist also trained in massage may go a step further and gently manipulate the soft tissues (muscle, tendon and fascia connective tissue) to relieve adhesions and tension stored in the area.
This treatment can last from 15 to 60 minutes.
It reduces or calms a wide range of pain, dis-ease, and dysfunction, including:
   Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
   Anxiety

   Injuries to the brain and spinal cord
   Rib injuries

Overall, it is an excellent treatment for those who have been dealing with high anxiety, pain or trauma to help shift them into the parasympathetic (calm) nervous system.  It is a calming, relaxing treatment with safe, gentle touch and support.

The Aura is the bio-energetic field that surrounds and penetrates the human body.

This field comes in contact with the energy of others and can become clogged, muddy, blocked or even torn/damaged depending on the situations you have been in.

Aura Cleansing is a simple process in which the practitioner uses a gentle, energetic combing technique that removes the clogs, blocks and obviously "not your energy" areas.  Most people can actually feel the combing action as it's being done and feel much lighter and more clear when it's complete.

Repair is accomplished when the practitioner rakes through and helps to restore the outer layer in each of the 7 levels of aura.

The Chakras are the energy intake and control centers of the body.

There are 7 MAJOR and numerous minor chakras in the body and proper balance between them is vital to a healthy life.  When unbalanced, chakras can cause dis-ease, dizzyness, digestive issues and so much more.  If you're feeling drained, you may have one or more chakras actually running in reverse, giving away your energy and power.

Practitioners can help get your chakras unblocked and turning correctly, helping your body to heal itself.

Many practitioners will use a pendulum to check, but those with years of experience and sensitivity to energy can simply hold a hand above the chakra and feel it's balance, direction and flow.  

Don't be mislead by most images of chakras.  Most people come in thinking chakras are only on the front of the body.  In reality, the 2nd through 6th are actually penetrating the body horizontally and are present both front and back of the body.  The 1st, 7th and 8th are actually vertical running through the trunk and skull.  These major or primary chakras can seem to be running correctly but can be giving away your power and energy on the opposite side of the body!
